Outdoor advertising sites that reach a mass audience

Where to find each type of outdoor advertising site

We have over 20,000 advertising sites spread across almost every part of Spain. One example among the many you can browse on our website is the MUPI street panel, an outdoor format found mainly in town centres, stations, airports, car parks and the busiest pedestrian areas.

We have MUPIs in 127 Spanish cities. Here are some of our featured locations:

The advantages of outdoor advertising campaigns

In your marketing and communications strategy, outdoor advertising sites are essential for reaching your audience. In towns and cities they catch people’s eye, because they sit in well-chosen spots and are easy to see.

  • Eye-catching visual advertising, with visibility 24/7 in high-traffic areas.
  • Strategic locations on the city’s main streets and avenues.
  • Greater brand awareness and trust.
  • Flexibility for short and long campaigns.
  • A less intrusive format that helps your message stick when combined with social media campaigns.

How versatile outdoor advertising can be

One of the best things about outdoor advertising is how versatile it is. With so many formats, sizes and locations, you can do almost anything on outdoor sites. A visual campaign that goes viral, a site as close to your shop as you like, or a large-scale campaign across several cities in Spain. And if you’re after an ad that moves, it can go on the vehicle itself: see the page on bus advertising (in Spanish).

How booking outdoor advertising with Marco Visual works

Tell us what you’re looking for

Tell us what you want to advertise, in which cities or areas of Spain, for how many weeks and on what budget. We’ll put together a proposal with the available sites, photos of each one, the dates and the total price, including printing and posting.
If you’d rather choose yourself, our campaign planner (in Spanish) lets you pick the weeks and then browse the map or the list of sites, with filters by type of site, city, postcode or distance to a shop or point of interest. Bear in mind the booking cycles: many sites are sold by the week, but most 8x3 m billboards are booked in two-week periods or for 26 weeks, so they’re greyed out if you pick a single week. Click ‘Siguiente’ (Next) and you’ll see a campaign summary with the total price, printing and posting included: we take care of everything. You just enter your contact details and create the campaign.
Either way, you get a unique link to your campaign page, which you can share with your team: the sites you picked, the weeks, the price and the guides for preparing your artwork. You can check it whenever you like.

We confirm availability so you can book online

We check availability within 24 hours on working days and get back to you once the advertiser and the sites have been cleared: several proposals, and several sales reps, are often working on the same sites, so it’s worth making sure nothing stands in the way of your campaign.
When everything is cleared, you can enter your billing details on that same page, pay by bank transfer and upload your artwork. Once you’ve paid, upload the transfer receipt so we can confirm the booking sooner.
Remember to send your artwork, following the guides, before the deadline shown on the proposal (usually 7 days before the start). We’ll email you at every step: artwork received and approved, payment received, sites confirmed.

Printing, posting and launch

On the day your campaign starts, you’ll get an email. Our posting crews photograph every site (MUPIs, bus shelters, billboards…) with your poster in place and upload the proof-of-posting photos to your campaign page, where you can download them and check that everything is up and in the agreed location.
These photos are usually ready 24 to 48 hours after the start; we’ll email you when they are.
When the campaign ends, you’ll see a notice on the campaign page and receive a satisfaction survey, with the option of leaving us a
Google review. It helps us do better.

Frequently asked questions about outdoor sites and their visual impact

How much does it cost to advertise on an outdoor site?

Take MUPIs as an example: the price depends on the location, how long the campaign runs and how many sites you book. You can see the different options in our campaign planner (in Spanish). Each face of a MUPI usually costs between €92 and €132 a week, and at the most sought-after locations in big cities it goes up to €320. For the other prices, go to the page for each format (in Spanish), where you’ll also find its locations.

How far in advance should I book a campaign?

Outdoor advertising, whatever the format, is a medium with strictly limited inventory: once someone books a site for a given date, it’s blocked and can’t be sold again. So the higher the demand, the harder it is to get the exact site you’re after. We recommend finalising your campaign about two months before it starts. And if you want it on peak dates such as Black Friday, Easter, Christmas or Valentine’s Day, it’s best to plan it 4 to 6 months ahead.

That said, cancellations sometimes happen, or locations are left free and can be added to a campaign up to 7 days before that week starts. In those cases, your best bet is to talk to the Marco Visual team.

Who prints the posters (the artwork), and how much does it cost?

We handle all of it. When you pick your sites in the campaign planner (in Spanish) and click ‘Siguiente’ (Next), you’ll see the cost of printing and posting. For MUPIs, bus shelters and kiosks, posters start from €35 per face. For billboards they start from €100, and the price depends mainly on how long the campaign runs. For one or two two-week periods they’re printed on paper; for campaigns lasting several months, on lightweight PVC or vinyl, which costs up to €400 but stays in perfect condition to the end.

When do I need to send you the campaign artwork?

The sooner you send it, the better: that way the printer can check it and confirm everything’s right. As a rule, artwork can be delivered up to 7 days before the campaign starts. That’s why most people book months ahead and fine-tune the design as the date approaches.

What’s the difference between a MUPI, a bus shelter, a billboard and a digital screen?

Each format does a different job. MUPIs and bus shelters reach pedestrians at street level in central areas. Billboards and monopoles are built for broad reach and passing traffic, on main roads and the routes into towns. Building wraps stand out on façades. And digital screens (DOOH) run animated ads, with several brands sharing the loop. In the campaign planner (in Spanish) you can combine several formats in one campaign, depending on your audience and budget.

Do I need the local council’s permission to run an outdoor advertising campaign in the street?

No. All the sites we offer come under a public concession, so as long as the usual restrictions are respected (no alcohol, no tobacco, no obscene messages…), the council doesn’t get involved. Put another way, the council grants these spaces to companies to market them, so that advertisers can promote themselves or get their message in front of the public.
