Rent advertising MUPIs in Spain’s busiest cities: choose your faces on the map and book your campaign online. Want to know what a MUPI is, or its exact size? It’s all in our complete MUPI guide (in Spanish).

Why use MUPIs for outdoor advertising

Advertising MUPIs, also called OPPIs, are an excellent way to catch people’s attention in towns and cities, because they’re well placed and highly visible.

  • Eye-catching advertising that’s visible 24/7 in busy areas.
  • Prime spots on each city’s main streets and avenues.
  • Stronger brand awareness and trust.
  • Flexibility for both short and long campaigns.
  • An unobtrusive format that helps people remember the message when it runs alongside social media campaigns.

MUPI guide prices

The price of a MUPI depends on the city, the number of faces and the dates. Rates start from €92 per face per week (in Huelva) or €95 (in Murcia), and at the most sought-after sites in the big cities they reach €320. The table shows real examples of budget packages by city. There’s no minimum order, and you can also book single faces.

Guide totals per package: they include printing and posting the posters as well as the face rental. Drop us a line and we’ll break down each part for your campaign.
CityExample packageFrom
Roquetas de Mar5 faces · 1 week€635
Cartagena10 faces · 2 weeks€2,050
Huelva10 faces · 2 weeks€2,110
Murcia10 faces · 2 weeks€2,250
Castellón de la Plana10 faces · 2 weeks€2,250

You’ll find the guide price for each city under locations (in Spanish), and if you write to us we’ll confirm the exact price for your campaign. We break the numbers down in our guide to how much MUPI advertising costs (in Spanish).

MUPI size and dimensions

A standard MUPI measures 1.20 metres wide by 1.75 metres high, close to a UK 6-sheet. At that size your ad reads clearly and effectively in any weather and any light, from roughly 50 metres away.

MUPIs also share their format with kiosks (in Spanish), bus shelters and street clocks (in Spanish), so artwork is easier to manage when a campaign mixes more than one of these formats. You can download our print-ready artwork guide (PDF in Spanish), and read our blog post on how to prepare your design for print (in Spanish).

And the double-height MUPI? It carries two standard-sized posters, one above the other, on each side: four faces in all. It can be seen from further away and stands out from the rest of the street furniture. The price range on this page (€92 to €320 per face per week) covers this format too.

FAQs about MUPI advertising and its visual impact

How much does it cost to advertise on a MUPI?

Three things set the price: the MUPI’s location, the campaign length and the number of sites booked. Our campaign planner (in Spanish) shows every option. A MUPI face normally costs €92 to €132 a week. In the big cities, the most sought-after sites go up to €320. For the full breakdown, read our article on how much MUPI advertising costs (in Spanish).

When should I book a campaign?

MUPI faces are first come, first served. As soon as someone books a face for a particular date, that face is taken and can’t be sold again. The more demand there is, the harder it is to get the exact MUPI you want. We recommend confirming your booking around two months before the start date. For peak dates like Christmas, Easter, Black Friday or Valentine’s Day, it’s best to book 4 to 6 months ahead.

Even so, cancellations come up now and then, and an unsold MUPI face can still be added to a campaign as late as 7 days before that week starts. If you’re after one, talk to the Marco Visual team.

Who prints the posters, and what does it cost?

We do all of that for you. Once you’ve chosen your sites in the campaign planner, clicking ‘Siguiente’ (Next) shows you what printing and posting will cost. For a MUPI, posters start at €35 per face.

When do I need to send or upload the artwork?

Send the MUPI artwork as early as you can, so the printers have time to check it and confirm everything’s fine. In principle, we can accept artwork up to 7 days before the campaign begins. That’s why the usual approach is to book the MUPIs months in advance and finish the design as the date draws near.

MUPI, mupping, mapi, OPPI, puppi… which is it?

The most widespread term is MUPI, a French acronym for Mobilier Urbain pour l’Information. The English equivalent, OPPI (Optical Point of Promotion and Information), is also used in Spain, although in the UK trade you’d simply call it a 6-sheet. Either way, it means the same thing. The other variants, such as mapi or mupping, are usually mistakes by people who heard the word MUPI and wrote it down differently.

Do I need the council’s permission to run an outdoor advertising campaign in the street?

No. The MUPIs you can book are part of a public concession, so provided the usual restrictions are respected (nothing involving alcohol, tobacco or obscene messages…), the council doesn’t step in. In practice, the council grants these spaces to companies that sell the advertising on them, so advertisers can promote themselves or put their message in front of local people.

For businesses outside Spain

Write to us in English by email or WhatsApp and you’ll get a written reply in English. If you’d rather phone (+34 628 062 892), we’ll answer in Spanish.

All the MUPIs on this page are in Spain. Just send us your print-ready artwork, in principle up to 7 days before the start date: we take care of printing and posting.
