Building wrap locations across Spain

Companies use building wraps to advertise. The wraps usually go where footfall is high, in the centre of the main cities. Most are on buildings undergoing works, on blank side walls (gable ends) or on the exposed walls where buildings of different heights meet.

Broadly speaking, there are two kinds of façade wrap. One covers almost the entire front of a building: the creative is usually very striking, it takes a sizeable investment, and it tends to catch the eye of absolutely everyone who walks past. Then there are wallscapes, on the side walls of buildings in busy areas. They come in many sizes. Often, though, they’re roughly the size of a billboard: 8x3 metres.

We offer building wraps in several parts of Spain. If you’re after a wrap on a façade, though, it’s best to ask us: the sites are short-lived (they normally depend on works on the building) and they change constantly. Not all of them are on the website at any one time. Even so, we can source one almost anywhere.

Why advertise on building wraps

If you want to grab people’s attention, a large-format building wrap is hard to beat: first because of its size, then because of its strategic location and how visible it is.

  • Eye-catching visual advertising, visible 24/7 in high-traffic areas.
  • Strategic locations in the main parts of the city, with huge numbers of people walking past.
  • Your brand gains awareness and trust.
  • Memorable creative that spreads easily on social media.
  • A non-intrusive format that helps the message stick when combined with social media campaigns.

Building wrap guide prices

With building wraps the price varies more than with any other format. It depends on the size in square metres and, above all, on the façade: a side wall in a residential neighbourhood doesn’t cost the same as a façade on a central square in Madrid. Bookings are usually monthly. Large façade wraps are booked in two-week periods.

Example campaignWhat’s includedGuide price
Wallscape on a side wall (8x3 m)Monthly site rentalfrom €400 / month
Side-wall installationInstalling and removing the wrapfrom €1,000
Large wrap on a central façadeLarge formats on squares and prime streets (e.g. Madrid)€40,000–€70,000 / two weeks (up to €150,000)

These sites keep rotating (it depends on building works and which façades are available). So the best thing is to drop us a line with your city and budget, and we’ll send you what’s actually available right now. In the campaign planner (in Spanish) you can see which wraps are currently on offer, along with the rest of our advertising sites.

Building wrap sizes

Building wrap sizes vary enormously. They depend on the type of façade and on the location. There’s normally no set format, apart from the billboard-style wallscapes on side walls, which usually come in the standard 8x3 m size. Some wraps are over 50 square metres, others over 150… At these sizes the advert is often clearly readable from more than 100 metres away, and neither pedestrians nor passing traffic can miss it.

Download our guide to preparing large-format artwork (PDF in Spanish): your design needs adapting to the exact size of the wrap you book before it goes to print. There’s also a blog post on getting your design ready for the printer (in Spanish).

Frequently asked questions about façade wraps and their visual impact

How much does it cost to advertise on a building wrap?

What a building wrap costs comes down to where it is, how long the campaign lasts and, above all, its size. For a wallscape the size of an 8x3 m billboard on a blank side wall, the price isn’t far off a billboard’s; what costs more is putting the wrap up. We’re talking roughly €400 a month and around €1,000 for installation. Wraps on façades overlooking squares, in Madrid for example, are another story: rental plus installation usually comes to around €40,000–€70,000 per two-week period, and the most expensive can reach €150,000. Seasonality, size and location make a big difference. Many wraps are listed on our website, but they come and go: they usually depend on building works, and the locations keep changing. So always ask us, just in case. For a breakdown of what makes up the final price, see our guide to how an outdoor advertising budget is put together (in Spanish).

When should I book a campaign?

Outdoor advertising works on exclusivity: a site booked by one advertiser for certain dates is off the market for anyone else. High demand makes it harder to reserve the exact site you want. Projects like this take time, and since the message is usually eye-catching and meant to stick, you need to think ahead. The sites available for wraps keep changing. As soon as you have a rough budget and know which city you want to advertise in, get in touch. We’ll come back with the workable options about a month ahead, so there’s time to check everything, print it, put it up… Putting a wrap up usually means installation permits, a team of fitters, cranes… So it’s a slow process that needs plenty of notice.

Who prints the artwork, and how much does it cost?

We look after all of it. Once you’ve picked your sites in the campaign planner (in Spanish), click ‘Siguiente’ (Next) and the cost of printing and posting the artwork appears. For billboards on the side of a building, as we said above, the price varies a lot with the material. Paper is used for billboards posted for two or four weeks, at €80 to €100. For six months it has to be printed on lightweight PVC or on vinyl, and the cost is closer to €400. Sometimes it costs more still, because putting the billboard up means hiring a crane. For façade wraps, the booking price already includes printing and installation.

Do I need council permission to run an outdoor advertising campaign in the street?

No, there’s nothing for you to apply for. Every building wrap we can book for you is on a site operated under a public concession. Keep to the usual restrictions (no ads for alcohol or tobacco, no obscene messages…) and the council doesn’t step in. In practice, the council grants companies the right to sell these spaces, which is how advertisers get to put their brand or message in front of local people.

For businesses outside Spain

Emails and WhatsApp messages in English get a written answer in English. Phone calls (+34 628 062 892) are handled in Spanish.

All our building wraps are on buildings in Spain. Send us the final artwork and we take care of printing and installation. We usually put options forward about a month ahead, leaving time to check the design and get it printed and installed.

Recomendado
